Microsoft has sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses since October 26. What separates Windows 8 from Windows 7? Here are some key features of Windows 8: •Faster Boot Speed - Compared to Windows 7, Windows 8 has a much faster booting time . •New Tablet Format - Windows 8 lets you customize your desktop and organize your apps, as shown on the left. •Improved Search Function - Even though there is no start button, Windows 8 has made it easier to search just by typing onto the screen. •“Windows to go” - This feature allows users to make a copy of their OS into a USB drive. Then when plugged into another computer (with Windows 8 installed), you can boot it up with the settings you normally use, complete with settings, wallpapers, files and even apps. •Available to Penn State students for free -
