What is Bloomberg Terminal?
The Bloomberg Terminal is a computer software program that contains financial market research data. It can be used to look up information on the stock market, companies, global news, and more. It is useful for anyone looking into a career in the business field, especially in Finance.
Why should Behrend business students get the certificate?
The certificates are a great resume boost! Most financial companies use Bloomberg at some level and will recognize your initiative to learn new software. It will definitely prove useful when applying for internships and jobs. The Bloomberg Terminal is also very resourceful and is a great research tool for many projects assigned in business classes.
What type of students typically try to get the certificates?
Students interested in expanding their education and resources are most likely to get these certificates. The Bloomberg Terminal is most useful for Finance majors, but can prove useful for students in any major.
How many try and get it? (How many students pass the tests)
It varies per semester, this semester we are seeing a lot more student traffic in the Bloomberg Terminal. Everyone who has taken the initiative to earn the certificates has passed the tests! How will students who get the certificate benefit after graduation? Any student who has earned their Bloomberg Certificates will see a benefit after graduation. It may be just to enhance their resume and help give them an edge on the competition or they might possibly find themselves using Bloomberg for research in their careers!
