As you people all may have heard of by now, Tebowmania, A.K.A. the great Mr. Tim Tebow (hold up a second while I Tebow on this spot) has been traded to the New York Jets.

Sophomore Dante DeSantis’ pitches danced away from opposing bats Sunday, and his seven strikeouts helped the Behrend Lions to defeat Fredonia State 9-1.

I know it is way to early to start making predictions on how a season will end when the season has barely even started. But one of the many things that I have learned over the years is the hype doesn’t always translate to success. My point can be easily proven by talking to Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf about their pro careers. 


Great Volleyball Season Ends

The first ever ECAC appearance for the Behrend Lions Mens Volleyball team ended with a loss against Wentworth on Saturday. The Lions fell in all three sets by a score of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-15. Behrend was not without great plays, with Josh Oertly, Nathan Steele and Joey Price all registering great games for the Lions who finish the season at 15-10 with a winning percentage of .600.


Track Earns Seventh at Kenyon

The Lady Lions track team took their talents to Gambier Ohio for the Kenyon College Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Behrend was able to secure a top ten finish against the field as well as bring home another ECAC qualifying time by Katie Spade in the 800 meter run.


Behrend Tops Houghton

The Behrend Lions baseball team is behind the rest of the AMCC conference. The snow has kept the Lions from being able to play some games, but the games the Lions have played show that the Lions are a force to be reckoned with at 17-11 on the season. Sunday, the Lions were at the Behrend Diamond when the Houghton Highlanders came to play.


Lions end skid vs. La Roche

The Lady Lions softball team was on a losing skid. But not after La Roche came into the Lions den of Penn State Erie. The Lady Lions pulled off a 9-1 thumping of the Redhawks after they were able to take game one of the double header. This win stopped the bleeding of a 4 game losing streak and left the Lady Lions in good spirits as they stay afloat in the AMCC as they remain the third seed.
