Staff Directory

Adam is a Senior majoring in Political Science and minoring in English and International Studies.  He has his certificate in legal studies and is attending law school after graduating in May.  Adam is a brother of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity and serves as Secretary.  He has been on staff since 2008 and has been Editor since May 2011. 

Shannon is a junior majoring in liberal studies. Formerly the A&E editor, she is now one of the managing editors for The Beacon and has been a part of the staff since her freshman year. She plans to graduate in December 2012 with certificates in PR and Advertising. 

Mike is a junior Marketing major with a minor in Finance and a certificate in Advertising. He is expected to graduate in 2013. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding advertising, feel free to contract him.

Major: Communication and Media Studies Graduation Date: Spring 2013 Brandon Boyd is the current sports editor for the Behrend Beacon. He is to the Beacon what Kobe Bryant is to the Los Angeles Lakers and what Tom Brady is to the New England Patriots -- a guy with a last name that starts with "B." Miranda is a a Broadcast Journalism major with a minor in Kinesiology. She am also working to receive a certificate in Sports Journalism. She will be graduating in May 2014. She is also a Behrend cheerleader and a senator for the Student Government Association.

Nate is a senior English Literature major scheduled to graduate in May of 2012. He's been writing for the Beacon since Fall of 2008 and have been an editor on staff since Spring of 2010. Originally the Showcase editor for Creative Writing and Art Submissions, he was hired as Editor for Arts and Entertainment mid-Fall 2010 and he still currently hold those positions. HE plan to hopefully become a journalist someday or meagerly continue his literary nerdiness with no financial gain.
